1939 Lincoln Zephyr
This is the 1939 version of the model first introduced in 1936 to help Lincoln recover from the effects of the Great Depression. Although still a luxury car, the Zephyr was priced at half that of Lincoln's previous K line. The model was based on a concept car designed by Dutch-born John Tjaarda and was named after the popular streamline run by the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy railroad. Although the Zephyr was built on a fairly routine chassis, it had a sophisticated 4.4-liter V-12 engine and a body that Edsel Ford himself insured was leading-edge enough to win praise from the European press and other automakers.
This 1939 Lincoln Zephyr is a diecast metal classic oldies with free wheeling, steerable front wheels, highly detailed engine and interior, and opening doors/hood/trunk. Sits on display plaque. This 39 Lincoln Zephyr is manufactured by Signature. Individually packed in a window box. Box measures 14"W x 6"H x 7"D. 18102 in BLACK color.
